Light Behind the Eyes
The only office space Declan Shane can afford for his burgeoning detective agency is in a building filled with noisy Broadway rehearsal studios. Sharing office space with talent agent Roberta Cook, they hire aspiring actress Bonnie Blanding as their receptionist. Their first client is Lady Victoria Arundell, who needs their help retrieving jewels from her tango-dancing Argentinean paramour. Add Declan’s friend, nosy Marty (and his penchant for stray dogs and hard luck stories), Bonnie’s dancer friend Molly, and a set of strange paintings Lady Arundell stores at their office, and nothing is quite what it seems.
